Zingaro Nature Reserve: Self Guided Hiking Trip from Palermo

Escape the city crowds and explore Sicily’s first nature reserve. Enjoy scenic trails and dive into the unspoiled coves of Cala Tonnarella dell’Uzzo.

Hop aboard our shared bus departing at 08:00 AM from Piazza Verdi 59 (in front of Restaurant 59). Arrival at the Riserva dello Zingaro Protected Area is scheduled for 10:15 AM for a day dedicated to the sea. Enjoy free time at leisure, with departure at 5:00 PM from the meeting point (North entrance / San Vito entrance) of the reserve. The Zingaro Reserve is a spectacular nature trail that leads you to explore one breathtaking cove after another. This protected area is rich in unique flora and fauna. Due to the presence of pebbles and uneven paths, it is strongly recommended to wear hiking shoes or sneakers. Access to the reserve is not permitted or strongly discouraged with flip-flops. The entrance ticket to the reserve must be purchased on site. Travel comfortably from Palermo and immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters of Zingaro’s beaches. (In the event of closure of the site due to force majeure not attributable to the bus operator, customers will be taken to San Vito Lo Capo or the Macari Reserve instead.) Useful tips: Bring plenty of water and sunscreen, as refreshment points inside the reserve are limited.
