Description
The Monte Pellegrino and Mondello sightseeing bus tour starts in Palermo and climbs to the sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, patron saint of the city. Goethe thought no cape in the world lovelier than this mountain. On the way up, the city and the Gulf of Palermo spread out below the windows.
At the top you have about 30 minutes for the cave where the saint is honoured, one of the places most loved by the devout of Palermo.
The bus then descends to Mondello, the city's beach resort, known for golden sand, turquoise water and Art Nouveau buildings. Two hours are yours here: swim, walk the boardwalk or sit down to lunch facing the waves. Afterwards the bus returns to Palermo, for a total of about four hours.
