Description
A Valley of the Temples day trip from Palermo means a full day on the road through Sicily's countryside, ending among ancient Greek temples. A driver takes you from a central meeting point in Palermo and brings you back at the end.
A short coffee stop on the way to Agrigento is also a good moment to buy a packed lunch before reaching the valley. There you can walk beside, and in some cases enter, the temples of Hera, Concordia and Apollo, and see the Hardcastle villa. A guidebook gives you the background on what you are looking at, as there is no guide on this trip.
After the valley the driver continues to the Scala dei Turchi at Porto Empedocle for a photo stop, and then you are driven back to Palermo.
