Description
On this Palermo night walking tour, the city centre turns into a stage for stories. As the streets fill with voices and light, your storyteller leads you through the old lanes and recounts legends, superstitions and folk tales, some tied to real corners of Palermo and others passed down by oral tradition.
Forget the usual route of monuments and dates. The stories speak of mysterious women who appeared after dark, enchanted figures, restless spirits linked to churches and noble buildings, and age-old beliefs in creatures that change shape. Together they portray a city that has always held beauty and darkness, irony and fear at once.
- Palermo street food bites along the way
- Two glasses of Sicilian wine for each adult
- For guests under 18, a Sicilian soft drink instead of the wine
- Live storytelling in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish or Russian
The walk takes about two and a half hours and is done entirely on foot, so wear comfortable shoes. It is not a classic art-history tour, and some tales include ghosts, betrayal and violence. Let the organisers know about serious food allergies in advance. Hotel pick-up and extra food or drinks are not included. It suits curious travellers who want flavour and atmosphere rather than standard sightseeing.
