Description

A Sicilian cooking class in Palermo at the home of chef Andrea Matranga: you cook a seasonal menu of four courses and eat it together with local wine.

This Sicilian cooking class in Palermo takes place in the apartment of chef Andrea Matranga, in a quiet residential area a few minutes from the centre and served by public transport. His career in high-end cuisine spans forty years, including Michelin-starred restaurants, programmes on Rai 1 and two published books, and today he teaches in person.

You cook a seasonal menu together: an antipasto, a primo, a secondo and a dessert. Along the way he tells the stories and the history behind each dish. Then everyone sits at the dining room table to eat what was prepared, with local wine, water and coffee.

  • Cooking course with all the equipment
  • Lunch or dinner with four courses
  • Water, wine and coffee
  • Stories on the origin of the dishes

The class lasts about three hours and happens in a private home, so please tell the host about allergies, intolerances or problems with pets, since two cats live there. The menu is not gluten-free or vegan, and the class is not suitable for children under 12, wheelchair users or people with animal allergies. Hotel pickup is not included.
