Description
Sit down, stay put and let the courses come to you. This Sicilian food tasting dinner in Palermo is a slow evening at the table, with no moving from stop to stop, built around four dishes and the wines chosen to match them.
The menu follows the seasons and draws on Sicilian cooking from the sea to the countryside. Each course arrives with a wine selected for it, and the sommelier introduces the producer, the grape variety and the reason behind the choice. The bottles come from more than 370 Sicilian wineries, among them volcanic wines grown on Mount Etna.
- A four-course tasting menu
- One paired wine per course, presented by the sommelier
- Water and bread
The evening lasts about three hours. If a wine wins you over, bottles can be bought at the end. It suits anyone who prefers a long, unhurried dinner to a walking tour, and who wants to hear the stories behind both the food and the wine.
