Description
The ravioli and cannoli cooking class in Palermo feels like being invited to a friend's house to prepare Sunday lunch together. Chiara and Walter guide the small group through the steps while telling stories about traditions and what life in Sicily is really like, far from the usual tourist attractions.
You begin with the cannolo: everyone makes their own dough and fills it later with fresh ricotta, after it has rested in the refrigerator. Meanwhile you move on to fresh pasta made with just flour and eggs, shaped into ravioli and tagliatelle, with a sauce that follows Nonna's recipe.
Each dish comes with its own story, and a glass of prosecco on the house keeps the talk going. At the end you taste everything you made and take home the recipes.
- Lesson with a local chef and everything needed
- Tasting of all the dishes prepared
- Prosecco, or soft drinks and snacks
- Photos sent to all participants
The class lasts about three hours and also suits families; children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. It is not suitable for people with gluten intolerance.
