Description
A vintage Fiat 500 tour in Palermo starts with a chat rather than a fixed itinerary. You meet your host, get a short introduction to the little car, and choose together what the next hour and a half should hold. The pickup and drop-off are included, as are petrol and a coffee break.
A typical route runs through the historic centre and stops for a walk in the traditional markets, in the middle of everyday Palermo. It then follows the coast to the seaside resort of Mondello, with room to stop for photos. If you would rather see the golden mosaics of the Norman Cathedral of Monreale, you can choose that instead; ninety minutes will not cover every place, so the final itinerary depends on your time and tastes.
Along the way you can taste Palermo street food, look for handmade souvenirs and discover corners of the city that visitors rarely see.
- pickup and drop-off
- petrol and a coffee break
- an English-speaking driver
Each car takes two people, so larger groups travel in several cars, each with its own driver. Tickets to enter monuments, where needed, are paid separately. On request you can add a sunset aperitif by boat or a Piper flight over the city.
