Description
This wine tasting in Palermo takes place at Bottega Monteleone, a wine bar in the heart of the city. Shelves of colourful bottles line the walls, and hand-painted ceramic Sicilian heads sit on a shelf. Your host welcomes you, you settle in, and the tasting turns into a trip around the island without leaving your seat.
The tasting follows an order. It opens with a sparkling wine, then moves to a white, a rosé and a red, and closes with a sweet dessert wine. Every glass comes from a small Sicilian producer, and your host shares what they know about it, so you leave with a clearer idea of the island's different terroirs.
