Description
This cooking class in Palermo is led by Mamma Corleone, a real Sicilian mother who cooks the way it was handed down to her: no written recipes, only gestures, familiar scents and a lot of passion. Over about four hours you learn to make an entire traditional menu, one step at a time.
The group is small and the mood is that of a family kitchen. Between a laugh and a family story, you pick up techniques, trivia and the little tricks that give Sicilian dishes their character. The ingredients are fresh and local, chosen every day.
When the kitchen starts to smell of what you have cooked, everyone sits down to eat:
- the full menu you prepared, as lunch or dinner
- Sicilian wine and other drinks
- a traditional dessert to finish
It suits anyone who wants to spend a few hours the way Sicilians do, around the stove and the table. If you have allergies or intolerances, mention them when you book.
