Description
The Toy Museum is a private museum housed in an 18th-century noble palace. It holds a collection of about 400 precious toys dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries, originating from Sicily, other Italian regions and also from European nations.
Displayed in dedicated showcases, you can admire numerous porcelain, celluloid, wax and papier-mâché dolls. There are also dollhouses furnished with refined miniature furniture, pedal cars, rocking horses and various stuffed or leather animals.
This collection of precious toys is the result of the passion of Professor Piraino and his daughters. The museum also produces and publishes books, catalogs, CDs and writings of a popular and documentary nature, organizes conferences and seminars, establishes restoration courses and courses related to the evolution of the child's play activity.
