Description
Palazzo Scavuzzo is a Renaissance palace in Palermo, located in Piazza Rivoluzione, in the Kalsa district.
The building dates back to the early 16th century, but its current appearance is due to a renovation at the end of the century by the notary Giacomo Scavuzzo, to whom it also owes its name.
It is characterized by a typical architecture of the previous century with few references to contemporary architecture in some details of the facade. It has a large semi-oval portal.
Inside, it has undergone significant changes over time. On the facade is one of the plaques placed during the Bourbon period that unified Sicilian units of measurement with the metric system.
